Bill Keating

Chief Executive Officer

Bill Keating is co-founder of VitaminCBD he manages the day-to-day operations covering everything from manufacturing, marketing, financial forecasting to supply chain and systems development. Bill champions small businesses being fundamental players in revolutionizing the hemp industry. He believes smalls businesses can best preserve hemp’s organic agrarian roots, perfect the scientific methods while delivering quality artisanal products.

Bill is the CEO and Founder of Waste Acquisition Group (WAG), a DC-based waste services firm focused on providing high-quality waste services to municipal and commercial customers in the construction, entertainment, waste-water, and waste industries. Bill is a member of the RLJ Private Equity Executive Network and a member of the Board of Directors of RLJ Thompson Trucking, a portfolio company of RLJ Equity Partners, a $250mm private equity firm based in Bethesda, MD. Bill has a wealth of business experience across the private sector from healthcare to investment banking. Bill sits on the Board of Directors of the Woodrow Wilson Institute. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and earned his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Eric Mitchell MD, FACPE

Head Medical Research

Eric Ignatius Mitchell, MD, MA, FACPE, CPE, is the Head of Medical Reserch for VitaminCBD. Dr. Mitchell leads the medicinal and nutritional research division. He actively partners with universities that are leading hemp and CBD research with a focus on disease prevention and treatment. Dr. Mitchell travels and lectures globally. He provides expertise to local radio and television shows. He is also the author of Cannabis Sativa the Truth Be Told: Good Research = Good Outcomes and The Flow of Life. Dr. Mitchell draws great inspiration from the positive results his patients experience once integrating VitaminCBD products into their health routines. Dr. Mitchell is an avid gardener and annually helps get the hemp crops to harvest.

From the farm to the lab, Dr. Mitchell spearheads VitaminCBD’s educational outreach efforts.
He is a former orthopedic surgeon and sports, medicine doctor. He specializes in pain management for PTSD and TBI. He holds a master’s degree in international relations from Salve Regina University and is a graduate of The U.S. Army War College. The Colonel (ret.) commanded two combat support hospitals and served globally as Inspector General for the DOD. Dr. Mitchell completed his medical training at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, including a Fellowship in Orthopedic Research with multiple published articles in peer review journals. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Mitchell was SVP of Medical Affairs at a local healthcare system in Philadelphia. His community service includes serving on several Boards of Directors.

Roy Chip Ellis

Head of Business Development

Roy “Chip” Ellis is Head of Business Development for VitaminCBD. Roy is driven by the belief that hemp is one of the most exciting lifestyle products in the marketplace today. As an entrepreneurial visionary, he is committed to making CBD products accessible to all, offering compelling solutions and products throughout the consumer service industry including nutritional, medicinal, environmental and industrial. Roy works as an advocate for the promulgation of industrial hemp and its use as a commodity in our everyday lives to create a new green economy in the United States and around the world. Roy envisions hemp products greatly contributing to the economic revitalization and growth of the health and wellness industry. Roy represents VitaminCBD on the board of the National Hemp Association and drives VitaminCBD’s business development and sales strategy.

Roy is Chairman of Hemp Commodity Industries, LLC. In addition to Roy’s duties with HCI, he is the Co-founder of the Ellis Development Group, and founder of Ellis Enterprises LLC, a real estate development services company. Ellis Enterprises, LLC, located in the Washington, DC. market manages various commercial and residential real estate development projects including mixed-use developments and historic restorations. As a result of these efforts both companies, have created approximately one million square feet of residential and commercial space with an asset value of over $400mm. Mr. Ellis is a graduate of Howard University.

Carmen S. Hayford-Mitchell, RN BSN

Quality Assurance Officer

Carmen Hayford-Mitchell, RN, BSN, is the Quality Assurance Officer for VitaminCBD. Mrs. Hayford-Mitchell plays a crucial role in the business by ensuring that products exceed quality thresholds of acceptability for internal and external customers. She plans, directs and coordinates quality assurance programs and designs quality control policies. She leads the organizational efficiency and workflow optimization efforts.

Carmen received her RN from Central Maine Medical Center School of Nursing and her BSN from the University of Southern Maine. She brings thirty years of healthcare delivery through her critical care nursing, teaching at Kaplan University and quality assurance experience. Carmen has a strong focus on customer satisfaction and patient advocacy.
